Social workers help people in our society with social, interpersonal, financial, and health problems. They assist many types of people, including the elderly, homeless and unemployed people, abused children, substance abusers, people with disabilities, juvenile delinquents, and the chronically or terminally ill. They work in such settings as public agencies, private businesses, hospitals, clinics, schools, nursing homes, private practices, police departments, and the courts.

As a student in the program, you complete 60 credit hours of study and field work. The first 30 credit hours are core courses taken by all students, while the second 30 credit hours provide a concentration in interpersonal practice.

Accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, the online M.S.W. offers the "advanced generalist" concentration, which prepares you for work in many areas.
